This February, we’re honoring our legacy through three meaningful ways to serve our Charlotte community. We encourage everyone to participate and RSVP and follow the sign-up steps for each service opportunities, if able.

Opportunity #1

Give Blessing Bags with Stolen Lunches

We will be packing and distributing blessing bags to support neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

About Stolen Lunches Charlotte:
Stolen Lunches Charlotte is a grassroots organization focused on fighting hunger and food insecurity by providing meals, snack packs, and essential items to individuals and families in need throughout the Charlotte area.

Black History Month Service at Tuckaseegee Elementary School

We are supporting Rattler Earlena Boswell’s school by volunteering to read, speak, or engage with students during Black History Month.

Steps to Participate:
1. Review your availability for any day during the month
2. Complete the volunteer interest form

Tuckaseegee Elementary School serves students in West Charlotte and is dedicated to academic excellence, community engagement, and fostering a supportive learning environment for its diverse student population.

Volunteer with Promisng Pages

Promising Pages – Group Volunteer Opportunity (Volunteers must be 18+)

Tuesday, February 24, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST

Operations Center Book Processing – Group Volunteer

Steps to Participate:
1. Sign up for the Tuesday, Feb 24th 10–12PM slot (**CLT FAMU Rattlers Volunteers - Book Processing Group)** and sign the liability waiver
2. Arrive ready to sort and prepare books for distribution

Each individual must sign up in the Promising Pages system, since the process includes signing their liability waiver. This also makes sure that everyone will receive a reminder email with parking instructions.
About Promising Pages:
Promising Pages is a Charlotte-based nonprofit that provides books to under-resourced children to build home libraries and foster a love of reading. Their work helps address local “book deserts” and close the literacy gap through book distribution and literacy partnerships.
